A WEEK-END IN PROVENCE ..NO PASSPORTS REQUIRED

I dream of Provence.

Gardens of glorious flowers.

Lavender fields   of breath-taking fragrance.

Symphonies of Cicada love songs.

Edith Piaf’s smoky voice fills my home with music.

I’m preparing a heavenly  chicken saute -  Provence style.  I   pour a glass of Cotes du Rhone Parallede 45.  We’ll eat in front of  the big stone fire-place.  Then watch two movies that will take us away to Provence.

MY FATHER’S GLORY  and MY MOTHER’S CASTLE are based on the memoirs of renowned French author/filmmaker Marcel Pagnol.

They are a captivating recollection of a young boy’s life in turn-of-the-century South of France.  It is so beguiling, charming and endearing you will watch it again and again.  Bastide Neuve beckons.  Come to Provence.

Profites de la vie!!

  1. Oh how you made me smile! What an enchanted evening it shall be. The Tin Man would grab a glass of Parallede 45 and skip through the lavendar fields!

    • You wouldn’t be skipping alone TM. Ruby Slippers were made the skipping. V.
