First Day of Spring

A PORTRAIT OF A COUNTRY GARDEN

Tomorrow is the first day of spring.   I walked through my garden and captured the  colour of this  glorious morning

The sky caught in the petals of “Scilla” .

Outrageous purple and orange Primula

Mauve heather truly the colours  of the moors of Scotland

Intoxicating Jasmine

MARCH

With rushing winds and gloomy skies,

the dark and stubborn winter dies;

Far off, unseen, spring faintly cries,

Bidding her earliest child arise.

(Bayard Taylor)

Welcome spring.  Welcome to my home.
