I started this day in a marvelous way in the classroom of a school in our Village.  Thirteen year old students were being introduced to the pleasures of sewing something for themselves.  This class of a dozen of so girls were making PJ bottoms.    They chose the fabric themselves; everything from brilliant red to polka dots  and penguins.

This morning we measured for pattern fit, laid the patterns out and cut the fabric.  What a joy to work with these eager young minds.    If just one girl out of the class falls in love with the ability to create with fabric the class will be a roaring  success.

My sewing partner from the Home Farm down the road shares her knowledge of sewing.  It was exciting and fun for both of us to work with young minds.
