A WALL TO STOP TRAFFIC – A MODERN TAKE ON LOVE AND WAR

Walking down Toronto’s  Queen Street West this mural literally stopped me in my tracks.  It is located in the courtyard of the museum of Contemporary Canadian Art. Photographer David  LaChapele’s interpretation of Botticelli’s Venus and Mars  is spectacular.   I’ve returned to the mural several times and each time I see something new.  Look closely at the foot of the child holding the machine gun.

Edgy Queen Street west continues to live up to its reputation.

  1. That’s gorgeous mural, wonder who the artist is. Makes me think of the John Lennon song: Beautiful Boy.
Am enjoying a new and different Toronto thru’ your eyes.
