A few weeks ago I wrote that I had begun an altered book. It is the journal of Arthur Plangues. He uses his Eton “vale” for his journal. He has left Paris, his parents, his three sisters, and perhaps a romance or two. Not for Arthur the privileged life of a Chateau living. He is hungry for adventure. To see new worlds. Experience other cultures. Live another life. And fulfill his quest to find a bird no man has seen before.
“My journey begins”, writes Arthur. “I read Byron to pass the time on this long ocean voyage. Tomorrow we arrive in Tanger”
