GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE

“Good morning sunshine, I hope you’re well.

Honey I missed you, last night when night fell.

You should know, sunshine, you brighten my day.

The world gets so dark, love, when you go away.”

…lyrics Alex Day

I couldn’t help singing this morning.  I awoke to brilliant sunshine.

This  rare event these past winter months must be captured.  It has been day after day of cloudy skies and more rain than we have experienced for many, many years.

I caught the glorious early morning  sun.

The dried hydrangea basked in it remembering the past summer.

Sunshine,  I’ve missed you.

  1. I love the sunshine too and really appreciate it in January. What a glorious sight to have it slide inside to highlight our treasures. It was appropriate for your beautiful hydrangeas. Ah, it may have been your yellow walls that drew them in. May you have many more days drenched in sunlight!

    • Oh my, I do hope you wishes come true. We have had so much rain a field close to the house has turned into a lake. The ducks love it. The sunshine is so welcome. Have a grand week-end. Virginia

  2. This is a beautiful ode to Sweet Sunshine, Virginia! We’ve had a lot of rain, too, but recently, it’s been very cold with sunshine. Now, I hope it doesn’t turn into a droubt! Anyway, have a wonderful, sunny weekend! xx

  3. Pretty pretty basket of flowers. Hydrangeas are my favorite! The yellow walls are so bright and cheerful….is that why you always seem to be in a good mood in your posts? Thinking of you dear friend….G

    • I adore hydrangeas. Growing up in North Saskatchewan they seemed like an unattainable flower. Now I grown them in abundance and they thrill me.

I am particularly found of yellow walls. Every home I have had over these many years has had yellow walls. This present home has a LOT of yellow in it. I am always trying to counter act the gray skies with as much colour as possible. Then again I love colour no matter what..

Ginny when I began my post I made the decision that this was always to be a positive post. It was a particularly difficult time. My daughter was terminally ill with cancer. Her positive attitude was my guiding light. Especially when I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the same time. Together we made every day a sunshine day. You will never read a negative thought in my blogs. XXOO V.
